- Don't be too proud! Visit second hand shops / charity shops. I get great stuff like books and toys and some designer clothes.
- Visit Boot Sales. I bought a bicycle at a boot sale. Its great because you can even test it before you buy.
- Haggle! At Boot sales I always ask the seller: What is your best price--even if it has a price....Then I say "Will you accept X amount?"
- I loan money to my parents eg. My dad never has change at the Toll plaza, so I lend him some and charge him 10% interest per day.
- See my Book for some business ideas. Remember to have a business plan.
- Never push people to buy from you. People will buy when they are ready to buy not when you are ready to sell.
- Be patient! Don't jump around with too many products. Be a master of the 1 product before trying others.
- I keep notes and numbers of my business in a hardcover book. It is simple and cheap but neat.
- Before I bake cookies to sell, I get orders from family and friends. This helps me budget my money and my ingredients.
